Worship is the highest, most eternal calling of every believer in Jesus. We are first and foremost a network of worshipping churches, ministers, and ministries. Glorifying God is the highest and best activity of every believer. The “worship” movement has been a restoration movement. The Scriptures promise a particular restoration in the last days, and that promised restoration is “the tabernacle of David.”
“I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it” (Acts 16:15b).
God tells us that He will restore a pattern of worship, “David’s tent…” This restored, prophetic pattern of worship has produced a worship renewal/movement in modern times. It is marked by passion, exuberance, waving flags and banners, dancing, “prophetic action” in worship, intercession in worship, prophecy in worship, singing a “new song” (corporate, spontaneous singing of individual, extemporaneous expressions of worship, in tongues and in one’s native language), movement, and a renewed joy in worship.
Although this ministry link is not affiliated with the CN (in any way) it is a remarkable demonstration of singing a new song spontaneously.
When you attend a CN church or take part in a ministry activity, there will be great emphasis on expressive, exuberant, Spirit-led worship. The “Restoration of the Tabernacle of David” pattern of worship is a major part of CN’s spiritual DNA.
