Revival – The act or an instance of reviving; The condition of being revived; A restoration to use, acceptance, activity, or vigor after a period of obscurity or quiescence.
“The Revival Culture Movement” emphasizes God’s Presence and activity among His People. A scriptural pattern of revival culture is found throughout the book of Acts, but it is very clearly seen in Acts 2, Acts 8:5-18, and Acts 19:1-12. Miracles, signs, and wonders were seen throughout the cities as the Word of God was preached with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Revival Culture Movement has sought to develop a culture (or lifestyle) of revival within local churches that spreads out of the local church and into the city and streets. Great reference materials for reading about revival culture are “When Heaven Invades Earth” by Bill Johnson, “What on Earth is the Glory” by Paul Manwaring, and “The God Chasers” by Tommy Tenney (Please keep in mind, these authors are not LGBT affirming, so read with caution, and as always, ‘eat the hay and spit out the sticks’).
The Covenant Network seeks to strategize with local churches, pastors, and ministries to develop Revival Culture within our movement, churches, and cities. One ministry within the CN that is taking revival culture to the streets is Living Water Affirming Ministries. Contact them if you’d like them to visit your church and help take it to the streets.
The Revival Culture Movement is a major distinctive in the CN’s spiritual DNA.
