Ordination within the CN:
Ordination is a relational process. That simply means that if you desire to be an ordained minister within the CN, it will take time. We do not rush ordination (1 Timothy 5:22). It is a very serious commission. So, please keep in mind, a request for ordination will be met with waiting and praying. CN will only ordain those who through demonstration, faithfulness, humility, submission, and consistency have proved that they have been called by God into a ministry.
Steps to ordination:
- Submit Request Form (it is also found at the bottom of this page)
- Set up initial interview – when you are contacted after filling out the “Request Form,” be prepared to offer dates to meet via phone, Skype, in person, etc.
Go through a discerning season (During this time, relationship is built, questions are asked, ministry gifting is evaluated, recommended reading and studies are prescribed, growth guide and personal development is evaluated, etc.)
- Be evaluated by the board of Elders (a time of review will be set up)
- Be prepared to submit to the requirements of an ordained minister within the CN.
