Jeremiah 1:12 – The LORD said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”
God’s Word is precious and vital. Our Bibles are meant to be used as tools to create God’s plans and purposes in the earth. Believers often struggle with this because it involves persistent study and consistent words. We love things to be quick, painless, and easy. We aren’t fans of laboring in something. Now, understand, we aren’t laboring in the flesh, but there comes a time when we have to labor in the Word. Taking time to discover what God says about us isn’t easy. God hid things, not FROM us but FOR us. Jesus knew how to unlock this. We see him operating in this in Luke chapter 4. If you read that chapter, you will see Him go into a synagogue, open scripture, read it out loud, and proclaim its fulfillment.
Believers are often timid too. We don’t spend a lot of time being bold with what can be proclaimed. Jesus was bold. His declaration nearly got him killed, but he kept going.
Today, we need to understand that the Word of God is full of potential – radical, undeniable potential. That potential is waiting for voice to be added to it. When we speak the Word of God, He watches (and listens) in order to make sure His word is fulfilled. He will not allow His Word to go unfulfilled (Isa. 55:11).
Let’s open our mouths and begin to speak the Word of God. He’s watching and waiting for it!!!!!
